Most Popular Non Shedding Dogs

So you're interested in non shedding dogs?
I can shed some light on a few breeds that are the most common. One thing to keep in mind is that some of these dogs will lose a small amount of dander which in some cases can still cause reactions to those who have a severe allergy to dogs or pets in general.
Here is a short list of non shedding dogs and some facts on each to get you a little more familiarized with these fun loving animals.
1.     Maltese

The Maltese is a high maintenance toy breed. They don't always do well when placed with children. They can be trained easily and try hard to please their owner. Don't let their small size (3-10 pounds) fool you as they are very vocal around other dogs and even chase down dogs much bigger in size. They will alert you to even the slightest sounds making them good watchdogs.
2.     Poodle

The Poodle is a popular breed and like the Maltese can be difficult to have with small children. They don't require much exercise, which does make them perfect for apartments or for those who can't get out of the house much. They are very loyal dogs that will be apart of your every move throughout the day. They can be easily trained with patience and proper techniques.
3.     Cairn Terrier

A Cairn Terrier is a good low maintenance breed that works well with children. It is a small to medium size dog with the males reaching up to 18 pounds. Cairns are very energetic dogs that require a lot of exercise so apartments do not provide the best conditions for them. They are very loyal but do maintain their own independence. They're a very good choice for many dog owners.
4.     Havanese

Another well-known breed is the Havanese. These playful dogs are good around people and children. They like a lot of exercise and are good for a daily walk. The Havanese range in size from 7 to 13 pounds and require normal maintenance. They are very trainable, intelligent dogs that are good for the first time owner.
One final note to mention is that all of these are non shedding dogs that are also considered hypoallergenic. If they are provided with good maintenance, care and the proper living conditions they will be your best friend for years to come.
